Dr. Dana Royce received her B.A. from University of Richmond and her Ph.D. from the University of Palo Alto, affiliated with Stanford University, in Palo Alto, California. Her dissertation involved older adults dealing with spousal loss. She now specializes in gerontology, and helps older people feel positive again. Dr. Royce has extensive experience helping patients deal with loss, depression, memory loss, anxiety, and changes during the aging process through cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Royce is also trained in meditation and uses other mindfulness techniques when they are appropriate to help clients improve their mood.
